I fished 7/11 afternoon to evening and 7/12 morning. I caught a 10 inch rainbow trout the first day and that was all. I caught it on a tiny #1 gold spinner with a brown tail on it. It was HOT weather. I saw tons of fish surfacing but only got 2-3 convincing bites. I tried every spinner and spoon I had with me, as well as casting and trolling a worm (no downriggers etc) without luck. Some guys fishing from the bank caught a few the first day and there were 2 other small boats and a float tube. The campsite around the boat launch is pretty degraded with a lot of trash. I wouldn't camp there again. The road down to the launch area is very steep and rutted with big rocks. It was momentarily dicey for me pulling out of there and I had to put my small SUV into 4WD low to get enough traction. A car definitely wouldn't make it all the way down to the launch, and even the "cute-UTEs" might have trouble getting out without decent clearance and traction.
