Wow! This is the best lake i have ever been to! I am 11 years old and my name is Austin I just started fishing at round lake and caught 9 small perch. I tried lacamas lake and I caught a few perch. I almost caught a huge brown trout. I was here with grandpa and another guy, he said if he got a big bite he would let me reel it in and keep it. In about 30 minutes( on a very hot day, about 25 feet deep,5 people around the lake, and about 4:30 PM) the guy got a bite he let me reel it in. IT WAS A HUGE BROWN TROUT! 18 to 20 inches and about 6 pounds! it is the biggest fish I have ever caught! I used a worm and a nice Mitchell rod. I caught on the dock. I also used Berkley's corn power bait when I also almost caught that 25 inch brown trout. we came back to the lake at 7:50 PM and trout were jumping out of the water everywhere! I got 3 bites that almost pulled me into the water and then(I recommend going there at 5:00 AM or 7:30 PM that's when they are feeding) I got a HUGE bite. I reeled it in and right when it was almost on to shore( a shore about 25 feet left off the dock) it broke away from my hook!!!! I swear it was a 25 inch rainbow trout, I also advise to fish around the stumps, that's where i almost caught that huge rainbow. best Lake ever! I'll definitely be back!
