Round lake was the choice for today (as it is most days). went to the lake hoping to get some top-water bass action with my poppers and plastic frogs. only managed a few follows by smaller sized bass maybe in the 2 pound range at most. after getting nothing on the top water i switched to worms under a bobber in hopes to catch a few bluegill or perch. after 30 minutes i had caught about 4 perch and 1 bluegill so i switched positions and started catching very small baby bass! only about 2 or 3 inches which was a surprise because i was using about a fourth of a worm and size 12 hook. everywhere i looked i saw a huge schools of baby bass probably just hatched or close to it so i am sure that round lake will continue to have lots of tricky little bass for all to catch.
