Went back to Downs for the first time in a few years. It has definitely changed a couple of bad water years really turned the weeds out. No worries though. I arrived at the lake at about 5:00. originally after largemouth but it's hard w/ three people in the boat ended up getting two in the boat off the duckblind on the southern shore. In deeper water 10 ft or so.
The wind was blowing like always, and with 3 human sails in the boat it was tough so we parked in the pads and ended up w/ 16 perch in about a hour and a half. I've spent hundreds of hours on this lake,but with the weeds the way they are I'm forced to change my tactics. I'll find em no worries. one thing I'll always stick by at downs, spinnerbaits, spinnerbaits,spinnerbaits
.PS.... Anyone know where these fish moved to?
