It was a good day to be on the water...duh...what isn't a good day? Anyway, the wife & I spent several hours on Ohop watching eagles, waving at skiers (with all fingers), talking to other fisherpeople as they taught their kids how to wait for the big one and oh, yeah, catching fish! We trolled for a few nice bows and one brown, then we tied up at the far end of the lake to plunk for several bass, sunfish and perch. We got on the lake about 11, (which is the hour for the speed limit to raise to 45) then we fished till about 4:30, an hour past the limit coming back down to 8mph on the lake. We even saw one guy taking a bath near a dock where it looked like several young people spent the night (we didn't fish around that dock!) All in all, even with the weather being kinda damp & breezy it was a good day. So far, out of 11 years of fishing Ohop, I've never got skunked and I always just use worms on a #6 hook. Troll slow or toss out about 25' from shore and reel back slowly. Guy
