Went out the last two evenings from about 7 - 9 pm for more Crappies. I'm happy to say they are still there and biting good. We caught 14 with only 2 under the 9 inch minimum. Lost 6 more nice ones beside the boat, one of which looked to be in the 12-13 inch range. Its amazing how much bigger overall these fish get with each inch in length. A 12 incher about covers a dinner plate! Got them all on jigs with brown/orange skirts or purple twist tail grubs tipped with worms.
We also got three nice Perch and a 9 and 11 inch Bass. Tossed back a half dozen smaller Bass and another 15 1/2 inch Tench. And I had 2 turtles chase my jig to the boat tonight.
We only saw 2 other boats on the lake the last two trips out. Almost no one there but us and the ospreys.

Posted for John Doe:

The last couple reports stated something about a 9" minimum on Crappie. There is nothing in the current regulations stating a 9" minimum on Crappie in general or for Elokia Lake. http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/regs/2007/2007sportregs.pdf

The 2007 / 2008 Sport Fishing Rule pamphlet disagrees. Effective from May 1, 2007 to April 30, 2008, both dates inclusive.
On page 90 under Eastside Lakes - Special Rules - Eloika Lake, it states: Species - Crappie: Season - year round - Min size 9 inch, Daily limit 10.
Other Game Fish: year round - statewide min size/daily limit

reads the same here: http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/regs/2007/07_regs_4.pdf
The fallowing lakes are listed as having a 9 inch min - 10 fish limit for Crappies: Coffeepot, Downs, Eloika, Lower Goose, Moses, Silver, and Sprague.
Potholes has a 9 inch min and 25 fish limit
