I went fishing at Rotary Lake for Largemouth Bass from 7:45 to 9 pm. The lake was way less crowded than a month ago, but perhaps that's because it was a Wednesday and almost dark. In any case, there was only three other anglers on the lake. I used one lure, a Rebel jointed floating minnow with a rainbow trout color scheme. The action was actually really good, which took me off guard. I missed four consecutive fish before catching the mini-bass you can see pictured at your right. Three of the four fish missed were obviously mini-bass, but I think one may have been about a pound or so. The highlight of the trip was catching a really big bluegill. I think it's my all-time personal best! I considered giving this report a four-star, but I doubt my fellow anglers care too much about my personal record. All and all it was a good 75 minutes on the lake; I'm going to replace the hooks on my lure and try to go again tomorrow if I get off work in a timely manner.
I should give a head's up that someone rummaged through my truck. They didn't take anything though because there was nothing to take! You see, I've had my truck broken into twice before during the 11 months I've lived in Yakima. So my strategy now is leave it unlocked, with nothing valuable inside it. I hope that tweeker had a grand time going through my old fast food wrappers and other various garbage.
