Beautiful lake, overcast and a little windy, but all in all very promising. No luck on my first time at Rattlesnake but this lake's a keeper. I saw some mayflies in the air so I used a blue dun on a fly bobber to get it out from the shore. Some strikes from little ones but no fish landed. Water seems too warm. Next time I'll go out on my floatable when the water is cooler and get the big one.

The rest of this I'm writing this because I agree with Blackfoot on the trash situation. I walked around the lake and saw bottles, old line, food wrappers, and garbage galore laying on the shore. In the last spot I fished there was a lot of orange power bait, cigarette butts, fishing line and crap laying on the ground. I guess there's some bubba's out there that think that's it's their right to spoil a beautiful lake like Rattlesnake. I'm sure the fishing will be good but these guys have to go.
