Got 13lbs. of bass, 9lbs. of catfish and 6 1/2 lbs of trout for the days meat hunting on Lacamas lake!! YeeHaw!!
Used chicken livers, big nite crawlers and flashy rattling things for the bass.
Man will we eat good tonite!

Seriously, two questions:
Does anyone on this site ever catch and release?
Why does every fish pic have to be of a stringer full of dead fish?

Good thing some of us have the decency to return our catch to fight another day. Hopefully they are smart enough not to end up on Bubba's stringer and then on his Char Broil later that night!

I do not find anything wrong with eating what I catch. I do not keep what I will not eat, but I love fish. Perhaps I grew up in a different time (I am over 50) or a different place (Eastern Washington, Idaho and Montana). I remember a time when a man would supplement the food budget with two or three deer, maybe an elk or an antelope and lots of delicious trout and pan fish. Now that the bleeding hearts and artists have cut the hunting seasons down and driven the price of tags and licenses way up, not to mention all the paperwork involved in what fish or what bird did you harvest. It is tough to see a real bright future for the conservationist/outdoorsman. By the way your attempt at insulting those of us "Bubbas" who enjoy eating fish that are not farmed is cheap, at best.

wait so did you eat your fish or did you let them go? because if you ate them then you prolly shouldnt be critical of other people eating their catch.

Eat all the fish you want, but please, think of the hushpuppies. Their numbers are dwindling fast. Save the hushpuppies!

If you are taking a jab at sportsmen who choose to harvest fish then please keep your comments to yourself. While you may not agree, this is a true source of food for some. I personally release most fish that I catch, however I do retain a few legal fish and enjoy eating them. Also, there are alot of lakes that are stocked with fish that are meant to be harvested. Please don't bash others like this.
