we almost beat the crack of dawn to the lake this morning. it was a nice, cool morning and the lake was socked in with fog, with less than 100' visibility. we were in the water and fishing by o630 and had our first (and only) fish before 0700. he was just under 15" and we got him with powerbait and worm. the fish was still firm, but had a lot of parasite scars. we released him. there were no cars at the public ramp. we didn't see or hear anyone on the lake, other than birds, until about 0800 when the fog lifted, and we could see 4 other boats that just came out. it turned into a fine ,morning, with blue sky and sunshine breaking through the fog. we watched an eagle fish for a bit, but he didn't seem to be doing any better than anyone else. no one we talked to on the lake was having any luck. we fished until 1045 and then headed down to lake Armstrong to finish out our day.
