I can't help it, this lake just comes up with the weirdest fish for me....

Out on a relaxing cruise with The Thumb, had zero luck with salmon trolling, tried for squallyfishes but nothing really was happening. Hit a favorite perch spot, which started slow. Picked up the shallower we got, but no real size to them. Good for fishsticks. A few smallies too, but nothing over a pound. Too many bass tournaments lately, all the fish are hiding out and sorelipped. Too little water moving through, so the bite has turned off bigtime.

Managed to find a nasty tug on the perch giddup, fought like hell for the 6 feet of line I had out. Flashed that big green back and thought it was a smallie, but then its big slimy carcass came out and we realized it was a TENCH! Goofy fish, if you ask me, but neat fins...
