Outstanding trip to Banks Lake. Arrived late Friday night so didn't fish until Saturday morning. Well worth the wait. On the water around 8:45am and limited by 10:45am. I would have to rate that morning as good as it gets. I caught my biggest walleye ever which sadly is just around 5lbs. Ive caught thousands in 30 years but never seem to get the big ones on my hook. This one was 24 inches exactly and was released unharmed into the water.

We went back out in the evening just to test some different things for Sunday. The wind got nasty and we only caught and released two walleyes. We did manage to hook into two 16 inch smallies both were released. We also caught two fat perch.

Sunday another good morning. Not nearly as productive as the day before but still great fishing. Me and one other guy caught about 12 in 6 hours and only kept 7. Great weekend of fishing. Going to Roosevelt next weekend and I will be sure to post a report.
