I went fishing with Keith and Kevin today. Today we went to Lacamas for a change so we did not know exactly what to expect. Well when we first got there we got bites like normal except everytime we ripped back nothing would be on are line just like always. Well we had a fun time other then the fact that we did not catch any fish. We messed around with some bees like idiots and we tried to catch some frogs. We ended up finding a ton of salamanders and we had fun snagging them. I caught two and so did Kevin and Keith caught nothin this time. We did not hurt the salamanders at all because we used small hooks and we didn't set the hook hard at all. They fell off when we reeled them in. The salamanders were cool and they looked like if you put butter on them they would taste good but we let them go.

You don't want to eat those salamanders (Wester Red Newts) as their skin has poisons. Those "little bites" are newt bites. They often will take the end of the worm and pull a bit. Their mouths are kind of small so its realtively rare you will be able to set the hook.
