It was a pleasant day on Dog Lake today. There was not a cloud in the sky and the temperature was about 75-80 degrees -- perfect for a day of relaxing on one of my favorite fishing spots. Apparently the fish were relaxing today as well. The action was SLOW. After about 4.5 hours of fishing along the highway twelve side, I threw in the towel and gave up catching my fifth fish. Don't get me wrong though, it was a wonderful day, the fish just weren't biting as aggressively as they have been. The good thing is, all of the fish I caught were nice. The biggest measured 14 inches and the other three were an inch or so smaller. On my previous fishing trip to the lake, which I forgot to post, I managed to get one that measured 17 inches, but I didn't hook into anything quite of that caliber today. There was only one boat on the lake, and one other group of fisherman on the opposite side of the lake today. It was quite peaceful. I caught two fish on chartreuse power eggs and two on fluorescent pink. I also tried a few rooster tails but had no success. Here's a couple of the fish I caught:

Hey Marc, can't beat Zeppelin. They are one of my all time favorite bands... I bought their boxed set in high school, and still can't get enough!
