Well this morning was great because Junior finally WANTED to go fishing. We arrived to the County gate at 7:28am and were allowed to still get in for free! Bonus!! This was my chance to put my son on a musky, he hasn't caught one since 2005 and says he can't remember what it was like. This is not a good thing to be Musky Fishing with a kid and not get one with-in the first hour, which is exactly what happened. Kenny got bored and even the small in-line spinners start feeling heavy with each cast. We fished for about 1.5 hours for Muskies then switched over to tubes for smallies. Kenny hooked into his biggest of the year from our "secret honey hole". After we each landed a bass I managed to grab my Musky rod and gave it one last chance, after about 10 cast a had a great follow back to the boat and when Kenny saw it he was ready for round two and started tossing the musky buck-tail. we only had about 20 minutes left but we never hooked up with another fish. We pulled out at 11:30. In all Kenny was the better fisherman today with the biggest of the day 2lbs 9oz. I thanked him 10 times for going out with me and can't wait for him to want to go out again!!
