Hi guys, this is Ty posting from his buddies computer.

We hit Newman (after a long argument with my buddy, he wanted to go to Liberty) and did pretty well as far as quantity of fish. We had my old man and my sister in town so dragged them out to the lake. Landed lots of fightin smallies and a few largemouths. My buddy landed a nice 4.0 large and my sister a 1.5 smallie. Lots of little guys here and there to boot to make it a fun morning.

I through that damn white mepps musky killer that never ever catches fish before switching to a perch colored vibrax. Still no luck on tigers with either.

Mostly used a 3" black power grub or various assortments of creature baits. I'll tell you my secret favorite is a black 1/4oz itsy bit with a pumpkin seed creature trailer rigged on it. Today was a 4" mmmmmmmm can't remember the exact name. It was a creature craw of some sort. Picked up a lot of smallies on the submerged island and around docks. My ol man was more into catching a buzz than doing any real fishing but he did land a largemouth out deep dragging a watermelon lizard.
