A surprising day on Fish Lake. Got on the water about 10:30 a.m., 70 degrees, steady south wind @15-20mph. The surface temperature was 65 degrees and the water was very clear.
Within the first 1/2 hr, I noticed very few fish being marked by the fish finder. That is a first for the entire season. Most of the fish were lying at about 5-9' and up close to the lily pads. Total catch for the day was about 7 fish, all Tigers in the 11-12" range.
The most productive pattern was a #10 Zug Bug, casting to the edge of the pads and stripping in. After 2 p.m., the lake literally shut off. The wind got the better of us, so we called it a day at 4:00 p.m.

Marc,
I didn't make it out on Sunday. I was at the WSU-Idaho game on Saturday and didn't get back until about 2:00am. When I got up an going Sunday the wind was pretty strong at my place so I bagged it for the day. I hope to get out to one of the area lakes latter in the week.

Tight Lines!

You really didn't miss much. We had thought that if it was slow, we would head out to Amber for the remainder of the day. But with the wind blowing as it was at Fish, I'm sure that it would have been a real white cap ride at Amber.
