Looked like today was going to be the only dry day this week, so I hit Greenlake after work. Fished from 5-7pm. Fished a dropshot setup with bread for carp and threw another hook on the bottom of the rig and baited it with catfish bait. The only thing that took my bait was the squirrel that I was feeding bread crusts too. Nice evening though..

Hey Gringo,

I like to see your reports from Green Lake. It's one of my favorite places to go, because it's close. I was there about two weeks ago, fishing off the dock at 65th, and had a brown trout of about 17" follow up a spoon I was tossing. He just looked at me and swam off. Doh! There are some big fish in Green Lake, but I think they're all wiley city slickers :) Also caught about half a dozen baby bass. I posted my report, but it never made it on the reports page for some reason.

Ever see any of those muskie that are supposed to be in there?

I have not seen any Muskie in there, but to be honest I hadn't "seen" any Carp in there until I actually had a reason to look, and I didn't know there were Browns in there either! I am getting the idea that there are some big fish in there. While I was feeding the squirrel I saw a fish jump out in the middle of the lake next to one of those big round orange bueys. The fish was easily the length of the buey (20"+?) and jumped higher than the buey - straight up. The trout in the other post from last Friday was from the dock you are referring to. If you see my green "Life is Good" hat, stop and say hi.

You should check out some of the older reports from the last couple years. Not too long ago somebody got like a 20 lb cat out of there. There's a pic of it. And there are some pictures of browns too. Happy Fishing and if I see you I will cetaintly say hi! And I will probably be drinking (water) out of my "Life is Good" Nalgene bottle :)
