While fishing the "Western Potholes," (The Evergreen Reservoir Area) I decided to try Babcock Ridge Lake. I launched my canoe and on the 3rd cast I hooked a 15 3/4 inch, 2 pound, 9 ounce largemouth on a black spinnerbait. I fished for another couple hours without hooking another fish. The lake was quite weedy and my canoe was the only boat on the lake. Ok, Ok, I know this an old report but I just wanted to add another lake to the washingtonlakes.com data base -- And, another place for you avid bass anglers to try.

i used work at Lamb Weston , Quincy on the graveyard shift. I'd head down to Babcock Ridge Lake A.K.A as Crater slough to the locals. That lake can be an awesome honey hole for early season crappie, largemouth and small mouth, jumbo perch, big rainbows and an occaisonal walleye. It's very shallow- deepest water I found was 9 ft at full pool. But I have alot of big fish pictures to prove my point...If you hit it right, around a favorable moon phase rating, along with crayfish and or minnow imatating plastics- you can catch some nice fish out of ths honey of a lake!
