Hello all well this was a banner day for black lake, on my 4th cast of the day (with a spinner bait) I got a hit thought maybe it was weeds but set the hook anyway! I then realized wow this is a good fish, then it flew past my boat. I thought damn it this is carp (it was deep and couldn't make out the color). Then he jumped and slapped so loud on the water I couldn't believe it. I was ready to cry if I lost this fish, he jumped about 4 more times, then after about 10 minutes and a fight that I couldn't have ever expected I tired him out and landed him he was 18 inches and short of 4 pounds he was a fatty..... so for all of those people that say black lake is no good unless you bass fish you need to learn how to fish this lake, it has all species you just gotta find where they are. So in closing hope you fish your whole life and pass the love on to a kid........ FISH ON!!!!!
