The dogs needed to get out and we wanted trout for dinner - so while my wife did her thing the pups & I went up to Lost Lake. Drove around to the west side of the lake, then we hiked around to the north side. It was a GREAT afternoon! Sunny, no wind, lake like glass. Got there about 2pm found a comfortable spot and started throwing spinners of different colors with no luck. The old dog found a place to sit and survey the lake, but the young one wanted to play, so I put on a worm and bobber and went and found a good fetching stick. Threw the stick, checked my bobber and it was nowhere to be seen. Ended up pulling in a nice 16" er. As the sun came down, I noticed a dead crawfish in the water, so I switched over to my little Rebel plastic craw and worked my way back to the west. Caught & released two 12"ers on the way. We were the only ones there, what a great evening!
