Bottom Fishing From Boat
Smallmouth Bass

The word of the day was WINDY. Although the predicted rain never materialized, the wind sure did and it was gusty. Fished from around 9:30 am until about 2:30 pm fighting the wind most of the time. Only brought one 2 lb smallmouth to the boat using a small jig and twin tail grub. Caught him in a deeper stumpy channel between two rocky shallow areas. The water level is down some more from last week, but it should still be fishable for at least a few more weeks. I neglected to make a note of the air or water temperature... but both were chilly.

It's nice to still be fishing and catching bass in November.

Thanks for the water temp.

Also, I forgot to mention that the fish fought like a medium sized clump of weeds. It didn't decide to act like a fish until it got near the surface and realized it was hooked. Then it jumped and splashed and had some more energy, but nothing like the usual feisty smallmouth.

Good to see both you Dilbert and skeeter bassin are still fishing. Bill has switched to duck hunting on his few days off now. Good luck!
