Went out to Beaver since they stocked with some larger fish recently. I was there around 6:45A, on the water around 7A. Overcast, little sprinkles here and there. Water was smooth, no wind. There were lots of people there, the boat launch had about 6 guys fishing from it, leaving just enough room for the boats to be launched. Not as many people at the park as I expected.

Most everyone targeted around the launch (as did I). Seems that the color that worked the best was Yellow or Chartruse. I had some of that Fishery foruma that mimics the food the fish get when they are being raised. Alone, didn't get any bites, but when I added some corn (gulp corn), that seemd to attract the fish, but the fish took the brown stuff. Still figuring that one out.

Got two, which is all I needed. So I switched to casting lures. Didn't have much time to do that cause I had to leave for work at 9:30A. On the whole a plesant morning. It'll be crazy this weekend.

It seems that the fish are starting to spread out now. There were some at the park that landed a few and even some boats in the wider area that landed some. People are taking their limit (one guy limited today and yesterday). I guess filling that freezer. If you don't have to take your limit, leave some fish in there.

The guy who did limit, said that the fish are looking a bit brighter (not sure how one day will make a difference). I bet by next week, they will look really nice.
