We fished from 3:30 to 5:30 straight out 200 yards from the public launch and pulled out 14 fish. 7 perch, 4 pumpkinseeds and 3 pickerel. They were biting good when we arrived and continued until dusk. The fish were hitting with a lot more enthusiasm than the last time we were out. We used 1/32 oz jigs with white, red/yellow and black/orange skirts and a worm. All worked well.
The ice is still 10-12 inches thick and solid to the shore. No signs of any melting yet. There was about 2 inches of wet snow on top and no water or slush. Best ice conditions we have been out on this year. We plan on going back again this coming weekend.
