Went to Rufus for walleye Thursday thru Sunday. Walleye bite was a little slow, managed to get a few nice fish and just enough eaters. The triploids, on the other hand, are still just ridiculous. I see reports about how slow it is, but we caught many right around 5#, and a friend in another boat caught a 7 1/2#, and we saw a 22# some guy had at the launch. They are still there, so get out here and catch these genetically-modified eating machines. By the way, I kept one about 5# on Sunday to eat and it was pretty good.

I see you have a nice electric motor on your boat, do you also have an engine? The reason I ask is because I have a Livingston with an electric and I've always wanted to head over there, but I think I need more horse power to get around that big body of water.

I do have a 40HP motor as well (that's the tiller handle for it sticking out behind me). I don't think I'd get on that section without a little horsepower behind me. I have been on the river when there is a 4mph (on my gps) current going through there, and a friend GPS'd a 6mph current. So whatever you go out there with ought to be able to go at least that fast, otherwise you're on your way to Bridgeport...
