Went out to samish again today with the unexpected sunshine. We started in the afternoon again, around 3:00pm. Fished the rock ledge just north of the boat launch on the east bank. Didn't catch anything there, but marked lots of baitfish/plankton/something in about 20-30 ft of water suspended in 65 to 75 feet of water. We tried wedding rings, needlefish, and Sep's spoons with no takers. Continued south and fished from 30-50 ft of water due north of the mouth of Friday creek, again no takers. We trolled back to the launch with a dying battery and fished bobbers from shore for a while. We got one tiny sculpin and a 12" cutty which was promptly released (beautiful fish).

Surface temp was down 3 degrees from Sat @ 44*f. Wind out of the south blew lightly, mostly sunny. Only boat on the water that I saw.

We will be back.

This report sounds exactly like mine. I have been hitting the lake every other two or three days. I am also seeing what you are seeing in 20-30 feet. I did manage to pick up a 17 inch cutt just south of the bridge. Will probally be back this tuesday. Hopefully will get some action.
