Launched out of the north end and fished the majority of the western half of the lake. Fishfinder showed tons of fish. Did catch a few smallies drop-shoting nightcrawlers around bankers island and a couple coves. Saw one muskie but could not piss him off with anything I had. Talked to a guy who said he lost a salmon or steelhead just off Tapps Island. (Yes there are still a few of them left in the lake. When I became a guide in '94 Those were my target species on the lake) Also fished on Sat. for a bit and tried out my new boat, but only got one smallie. Water is still very cold. I'll be back out there this week again.

Yes the lake does have a decent population of muskies but no pike. Those can be found in northeastern WA.
