we got to the lake at about 11:00, my brother Brian and his wife Tiffany and I. we were fishing from the resort dock and it was windy as heck and sunny some times and not at others but at all times it was just plain cold. my bro's wife caught the first fish of the day and it was a 16 incher. my bro caught his first fish......worth talkin bout, in who knows how long, today. it was a lunker bow. we all caught bows today all well over a pound. they were all beautys. if not for the wind this would have been a perfect end to a three day weekend....but now we will have to end it with some smoked trout and beer. oh yeah.....this was a good idea to go to Spencer lake. we used power bait eggs and lots of weight. today was a good bite for the most part it only died off at about 4:00 and we left at about 4:45. the derby that they hold at this lake every year is in about 26 days and i cant wait. good luck and hope to see you all there for the derby.
