Quick correction from my last report on this lake....the key water temp was 47 degrees NOT 67 degrees!!! Wishful thinking and happy fingers got the best of me. LOL

This trip took my buddy and once again battled the wind:( Blowing 20+ at times made feeling the subtle bites pretty tough!! My friend boated the first and only bass, a 5.5lb largemouth. I snapped one off that ran me around a piling...I couldn't get position on him quick enough because on the %^$ wind!! I also caught a 19" cutthroat trout....on a jig of all things?? Off the bottom no less?? weird. Anyway quit early and decided to switch lakes.

Water temp dropped two degrees to 45.5, and with no sign of Mr. Sun to warm things up, we decided to go somewhere to try smallmouth bass. No pics this time as we used my pals disposable camera instead of my phone, so, I will have pics soon, the rest of you will just have to trust me!
