Went out to the lake just to get my new boat on the water. The rain was there along with all of the other negative weather that scares fish and fisherman alike. We obviously didn't get a nibble. I was not too hurt by it though. I know where to go, and when to get there. As they continue to stock, I will continue to fish. The only thing that bothered me was the launch fee. 10 dollars is far too much to pay. I don't think I will be fishing this lake any longer from my boat. The ends don't justify the means for this lake. there is just not enough action for me to pay that kind of money on such a small lake. I don't know why they rebuilt the launch, the old one was fine, and they are just causing themselves damage by charging far too much. Not worth the trouble to fish here any more. Maybe if they cut out the launch fee, I will go back, but completely not wirth the ten dollars for the fee when I can go to so many lakes that have better launches and charge nothing. Their loss I guess. I will ensure that none of my buddies go here either. Just not worth it.

Yeah I hate spanaway lake. Drives me crazy when you pay 10 dollars for spanaway and hope that you catch something or you can got to american lake with a free boat launch and know that you will catch something. Lets all rebel against spanaway lake! haha.

the old launch was not fine and 10 dollars is way to much with the price of gas and any other cost that goes with fishing. I have been gooing to steilcom lake alot and it's free to launch it's just not a good launch and thers not much parking but the fishing is good.
