I got to Green Lake after I failed at Lake Washington. I casted out from a T-shape dock by the boat rental place and the incredibly packed parking area. It's the part of the park where there's that square-shaped floating dock with the jungle gym stuff on it. Anyway, I casted out there and I fished for a good hour or so without a bite. I wasn't alone in my (lack of) success. The guy next to me told me that his Dad was fishing on the other side of the lake and that they were pulling in fish like crazy. So I hopped back in my truck and drove down the "stadium" area where there's all those docks and those stadium style stairs. I saw a group of guys fishing for (and catching) trout on the brown dock that's T-shaped with the orange and white tape on it. I decided not to fish there because of the high population density on the dock. I fished from one of the adjacent docks and tried (in vain) to cast over to where they were but I was fairly close. After about an hour or so, a man told me about the bass population of the lake. So I decided to cut off my gear and tie on my new CD-9 Repala. I spent a good half hour with that and got nothing. However, in the waning light I did see a large fish jump that was far too stout to be a trout. I couldn't see it's colors so I'll assume it was a nice large mouth. I plan on heading back out there soon, hopefully early in the morning so the fishing will be better and fewer people so the parking will be better. Also, the planters haven't really left the area from which they were stocked. So maybe in a couple of weeks they will be catchable from more than one spot :)
