after catching nothing at lacamas lake, me and a couple buddies hit up klineline for some of those awesome (just kidding) stockers. we started fishing the side pond to see if we could have some fun and catch some bass, but nothing was biting over there so we went and rubbed elbows for an hour or two. me and my friends don't really like powerbait fishing so we tried to use spinners, but only had one hit and switched to power eggs, and i also used powerbait. started landing fish one after another for about an hour but only kept the three largest fish. all were rainbows and they were each at least 13 inches and pretty thick. the rainbows are holdovers from previous plants so they were pretty spunky. did not see a brown trout caught but i think people were hooking them on the side of the lake closest to the entrance in the swimming area. had the pleasure to see a couple very very large holdovers caught one pushing 24" and was super thick. they guys catching the large fish were using clear bobbers and flies (woolly buggers) and casting out a country mile almost to the other side of the lake. it was funny watching them reel in smaller trout using their salmon poles =)
it was a good day and i would be back but i can only stand rubbing elbows with people who keep over their limit so much.
