Did some angling at Angle out of the pontoon.
Fishing was slow at first, I released one healthy stocker for the first couple hours. I tried the same copper spoon I used yesterday it just had the one strike. This year it seems like they want something different every time I go out. Then I tried a spoon and fly, a gold flatfish, and finally the fish decided on a barbless gold Hildebrandt spoon.
The gold spoon quickly caught a stocker. The next fish did not jump out of the water like the rest so I had a feeling it may be different. Sure enough it was a Triploid. Ended up catching 3 stockers and 2 trips.
I noticed the stocker trout were bigger than they were just a month before. There were about 20 people on the dock and a few boats launching as I was leaving.
