I trolled from 7am till about 11am using just about every lure in my tackle box. Then we finally gave up and tried for bass. I started out using a 3 inch pumpkin colored plastic worm and to my surprise I caught and landed a 16 inch triploid just five feet from the lily pads. My friend quickly tied on a #1 silver spinner and caught 2 fish with 2 casts. For the rest of the day we caught 11 triploids between 14-17 inches. we caught most of them on # 1 super vibrax spinners but they did not seem too picky. We also caught a few on power bait. Overall we had a great day. All fish were released except for 2 that swallowed the hook.

Sounds like a great day for trips!!!!!!! We are going to LK Erie, (next door) this weekend for our annual camping and fishing trip.Maybe we could fish Cambell on friday.
Where were you guys finding the triploids? Is still fishing best or should we troll?

I'm not sure if The location is that important because they seam to be schooling, but once you find them they are not hard to catch.

1. follow the shoreline left of the boat launch (east)
2. about 2/3 down the shoreline in front of a large house with a dock and a perfect grass lawn that goes all the way to the water.

I'm not sure about the water depth but I think it was around 5-8 feet the major thjing is that we were only 10 feet from the lily pads.

we found pink powerbait with 4 feet of leader to work the best but #1 spinners were much better at locating the fish

good luck and don't forget to tell me what you catch
