Fished good old Beaver today. Got 5 real quick today - I'd say in about 50 minutes. Used chartreuse power eggs on a short leader of about 1 1/2 feet. They were all just 10." Not bad for a day on the far point on the park side. Good times.

Good report and thanks for the pictures...
We have every right to keep the fish we want to keep. We pay for our licenses which fund for these lakes to be stocked..

Don't delete peoples comments! This is a wonderful platform to exchange thoughts and ideas. Obviously peole have different ideas regarding C&R or eating thier catch. My bet is we all started fishing with the position of eating our "bounty". Some of us over the years have learned to be in the sport for the "Anglers Pursuit" and don't mind releasing fish. When I fish area 10 all summer, I release all fish. (I keep my alaska salmon though).
Lake stockers are meant to be retained. That is the anglers choice and right. Without peole KEEPING fish, thier would not be enough money in the Dept of Fisheries budget through license sales to stock those lakes.
Fresh 10 inch trout make wonderful meals and taste great smoked.
Fishing is a great sport! Everyone have fun an CHILL-
Let everyone have thier say on this forum! JMC

I delete comments to remove different points of view. I delete comments once a flame war starts to keep others from joining in. Look through the comments. You'll find plenty of them that have nice discussions about it without getting rude or negative, and I leve those alone. Since we implemented these comments last April I've resorted to deleting them only once or twice before today.

I missed the comments, but if someone was negative commenting on your keeping these fish, that's just nuts. They're stockers, for goodness sakes! Planted for either the anglers or the birds to eat. The chance of those fish making it to hold-over status are pretty low. If that's how WDFW wanted to manage Beaver lake they would put a no bait selectiv fisheries rule in place. Where's that eye-rolling smillie when I need it...

Mike/Aaron,
Since warnings have been giving multiple times about posting negative comments and they continue to roll through, I'd suggest swinging the axe faster and banning the members that make negative comments. I know you guys want to keep as many on the site as you can, but what good are they serving if they are continuously giving people crap for keeping fish?
just my .02.
Kutt, don't let a few bad guys drive you off. Just ignore the negative comments...

Sam, Mike and Aaron, I agree with your comments. Some people just don't get the message.

My token of support. I think the mods here have been *too* generous in the past... But this report being sniped by C&R folks just takes the cake. Thanks for the moderation efforts, keep it up.

And to those who disagree -- remember that the "moderators" are here to "moderate" discussion. It's fine to disagree, it's not fine to make it personal, spiteful and candidly just plain ill-informed.

Delete away! We don't need nagging in our lives. That is why we get out of the house to go fishing - to avoid that!!!!

My two cents on keeping fish:

We have the right to use tap water, but it doesn't mean we should waste it.; we have the right to use gas, but it's still a better idea to take the bus. So:

1. Don't waste the fish. At least you "plan" to eat them when you decide to keep them.
2. Don't be over the limit. Especially this year they have a new rule about bass, 5 for largemouth, 10 for smallmouth. Trout is 5.
