Long time reader of posts here so I thought I would start adding my input and experiences. Unfortunately I don't have much to report. This is my second trip out this year to Lacamas and got nothing but rained on and cold both times. I am fishing from a sit on top kayak. I launched from the turn out site near the Boy Scout camp. Based on the last posting I tried heading up into the creek and fishing some deep holes. I tried spinners, flat fish, woolie buggers, and even plain old worms with nothing to show. I ended the day working a crawfish pattern on some trees to see if any bass could be had. Bottom line is it was cold and rainy. I hope for much better luck next time.

Thanks for posting Bluknight... hopefully it warms up soon and the Bass start biting! I am looking forward to doing more Bass fishing this summer.
Take care,

Bluknight, thanks for the report. I have been wondering when Lacamas would warm up enough to be good fishing...I guess not yet!
Next time you go up the creek There is a really nice hole I found when the water was real low last year and when the water came up it was productive for me for brown trout. When you paddle up the creek it sweeps left and the after it goes kinda straight for some time it turns right and there is a small pool just as it turns. This a a small water fall when the water is low and I stoped above it and cast a wolly bugger down into the pool and slowly worked it up the "fall" and bam! May not be productive now in the cold, but it was good in the summer.
