I was checking the lake currents while the dam let out water over the spillway today. I got tired of seeing everyone else fishing, so after I was done, I threw some lures near the log boom.
I a few fish caught; I kept an 18" for a meal. I saw many caught by others; most ran from what looked to be 14" to about 20". Most of the fish seemed to be active in the top few feet of water. The trollers going deep were not catching fish. The shallow fishermen were catching a fish about every half to three quarters of an hour.
For just good fishing, you can't fault Sunday. For the monsters we all expect out of there, well they were not near the dam.
