Started fishing Eloika about 8:30 AM and didn't get so much as a bite till about 930 then we found the crappies. The two of us caught our 20 fish limit all over 9" of course in about 1.5 hours. I also managed to catch a few perch and 3 bass. The odd thing was the two of us were pretty much using the same size purple curl tail jig and my buddy was catching nothing but crappie while I caught none, just perch and bass, when he caught his 10 he switched and tried for bass and I was finally able to latch on to some crappie and finished our limit. Even while trying for bass my buddy still caught some littler crappie that were turned back. He was just a crappie magnet today. It was a nice change actually catching a mess of fish rather than just a few dinkers. We were fishing on the northwest bank in about 8' of water casting out and doing a slow retrieve to the boat. It was also a great day on to be outside, slight haze from the clouds up high took the edge off the sun.

Nice fish aren't they? It's a blast when ya can find a hungry school. And fill a bucket. :)

I have had the exact same experience at not catching crappies while the person next to me caught fish after fish. And we fishing 5 feet apart and using the same jigs, worms, bobbers...everything. I still don't get why that happens, but at least i feel less alone now
