Hit Clear today for a relaxing afternoon and to try a new lake. The planters are still very shallow and hitting spinners ripped across the surface with abandon. The faster the retrieve it seemed the better. I brought 8 fish to the boat in less than an hour using black spinners. It seemed that hardware fished shallow was the ticket as the people dunking bait did not see as much action. It was a little windy but not too bad. I kept one 16" Tripliod for dinner all the rest of my fish were the standard 8-10 inch stockers. I had one tiny little guy that thought he was a 8 pound steelie the way he fought the hook! Just goes to show, it's not the the size of the the fish in the fight, it's the fight in the fish. All in all a pretty good day.
