I took Thursday off from work---told 'em I needed THERAPY.
(Most people call it Goin' Fishin'...)
We did it again: Had great success at Badger Lake catching
RAINBOWS (14"-18"), Cutthroats (12"-16") and managed a few
Silvers (12"-14"). We also used an electric trolling motor,
which makes the whole fishing experience great (quieter). As
my neighbor and I headed back to the launching area after the
successful outing, we could hear a slight humming sound. No,
it wasn't the motor...No, it wasn't another boat or jetski...and
NO, I wasn't humming the Colonel Bogey's March. The sound
seemed to get louder until suddenly...We were caught in
the middle of a bee swarm moving over the surface of the lake!!
We had bees all around us, but had the presence of mind NOT TO
SWAT AT THEM OR MAKE ANY AGGRESSIVE MOVES (the swarm is usually
only interested in moving their queen from one place to another,
so they are not interested in harassing two grizzled fishermen in
a small boat in the middle of the lake---or so we hoped).
Just as fast as they appeared, they
disappeared---leaving only that fading humming sound and two
astonished guys on Badger Lake. The electric motor is QUIET---
quiet enough to allow us to HEAR the approach of the swarm. Did
anyone else on Badger Lake see the swarm this day?

move at light-speed towards shore after seeing
the bees?! The Same To You, bub.
