Arrive at the lake at about 3:30pm after a bit of fun at Rock Lake. Went down to the boat launch area and fished from the shore. Casting out as far as we could (using quite heavy slip sinkers...maybe 50-70 feet...) we fished from the bottom with power bait, eggs, and worms (they seemed to be biting anything...). The action was sparse... I caught a 15.5" rainbow after about 1 hour of fishing, and a 12" rainbow a little later. There were about 6 or 7 fisherman there, and people were catching fish at a good rate (mostly 9-12 inchers)... The boat launch looked very nice.. I took a bunch of pictures of the launch and lake. Maybe I'll get them sent in when I get them off the camera. Bottom line, major wind, rain, clouds... didn't stand in the way of a good day fishing.
