Had my first fishing experience at Rattlesnake Lake today. Wow, what a neat lake. Got there around 1:30ish and the weather was nice. There was a little bit of wind that made my raft somewhat hard to navigate at times, but it was never really all that bad. Had my first fish on within 30 minutes or so. I was a beautiful 11 inch Rainbow. Then I lost lost one at the boat around 1o minutes after that. Had a couple hits, but that was it for the rest of the day. I think I learned a few things though. I met a guy near the boat launch that suggested Olive Buggers... which are different I guess from Wooly Buggers. He gave me a couple and I look forward to trying them up there soon. He caught a nice one when we were talking and he gave it to me for my new smoker. Saw KTK out there, he was doing pretty good, catching a LOT more than me. Good to see you and your brother out there KTK, that was cool. All in all and really nice day to be outside and fishing on a beautiful lake.
