Fished Pine with my buddy and trolled alongside fishingmachine. My buddy caught 25 fish on an olive haley leech size 10 on IS line. I caught about 10 on FS line using a thin mint and different variation of a carey bugger. Trolled in tandem with fishinmachine and gave him a fly or two but he was hooking in to them towards the end of the trip pretty good, however he said it was the slowest day he's had for awhile. We only fished from 4pm to 7pm but my buddy had the hot fly and he was definitely in the strike zone (3-8 feet down). Fishing is still going strong, but about 75% of the fish have some nasty red sores on them...usually the upper back area. Fish and Game should know about this cause something in the water is causing this...no birds as someone else had thought...17 of his 25 fish had the sores and I've caught about 50 or so in the last week with sores...talked to a home owner and he said it's the water causing the problem. Not good. All fish were 9 to 12 inches and were C&R'd of course.
Later fellas, KTK

Yep...those sores are getting huge and we even saw some dead fish in the far southern cove on the bottom. I think something must be in the water. WDFW should be contacted about this...it's pretty gross.

I wonder if its just affecting the little ones. I have seen the sore too but not on the bigger ones. Maybe its an issue of the ones they recently stocked this year. Maybe they had something already.
