Hit the lake about 7:30 pm to try and redeem myself after getting skunked on beaver earlier in the day. The place was a madhouse, not with people fishing, but people trying to cool off in the water. I had to wait in the parking lot to get a space, all the park benches were being used, kids and teenagers running everywhere. Any who, finally got in the water, started rowing the south side with a kasmaster and struck out. Switched to my wed ring and went up the north side and the bald eagles showed up. Watched them twist and dive and hooked into a nice sized bow about 13" around 8:30pm. Once the sun dipped behind the trees and the water got dark the bite picked up. Saw some leapers, missed a few more bites and then hooked my second 13". Left at 9pm. Bite has died down. Most people I talked too experienced the same.
