Headed out to Lake Terrell today to see if we could get into some largemouth. We arrived at the lake around 1:30 to find there was no parking. There was a tournament going on which ended at 2, and we heard some good stories of some nice sized bass being caught. Water temperature ranged from 67-71 degrees throughout the afternoon, which was a good sign. Bait fish were plentiful so the hopes of some big bass were in the air.

The day started out slow, and the mucky weeds were getting irritating, but we kept working our way around the lake. We got to the northeast corner of the lake where the grass islands are, working a white spinnerbait with tandem willow blades. While working the secondary points, i had this nice fish come out and slam my spinnerbait in about 4 feet of water. Got the fish to the boat and we were finally able to use our new weight scale, and the fish weighed in at an even 6 pounds. Haven't had much luck with the largemouth yet this year, so this was a good sign.

Only one other fish caught today, which was a nice chunky 2 lber, which also came on a white spinnerbait.
