Wow, I've been fishing this lake for 30 years (including a trip there this morning 05-22-08) and have never heard of someone catching 7 - 16 inch carryovers at one time there. What's your secret? I'm also impressed that you were able to release all 7 of these large fish using bait which almost always results in the fish swallowing the hook. I'm surprised you didn't encounter any of the 7,052 - 9 to 10 inch 1/4 pound plants that were released in this lake on April 1st. Except for one 16 inch fish I caught this morning, all of the fish I encountered (10 total) were plants. Sounds like you must have found the honey hole. I've never had much luck near that public dock. I know the lake is very shallow there, 10 feet tops till you get out towards the center of the lake near the entrance to the camp ground or if you are fishing along the road where it is between 20 and 24 feet deep.
