Tried Long Lake again in my Tracker from about 6 to 11 Saturday morning. Fishing was pretty slow again and water temp was 60-61, cooler than last weekend. Tried Zoom Horny Toads, a Pop-R, and a buzzbait all over the weeds and around the pads for about 2 hours, to no avail. Also no action on spinnerbaits or crankbaits in the canals between the pads on the south end. The three bites I did get came in the pads on a green Sweet Beaver on a drop shot rig. I caught the first one, shown in the pic, and weighed her at a shade under 3 lb. I missed the second on the hook set. I had another one on a black Zoom trick worm off a dock, but she snapped my line diving through the lilypads. Not a bad morning, though the skiers are becoming a real nuisance on the slalom course at the sound end.
