There we go. Now that my post has gone through I will give more detail. I launched the boat around noon sat. and started by trolling my jointed floating minnow plug like I usually do. It was slow for the first couple hours I think I only had two small planters. I then decided to troll my plug behind some pop gear. Low and behold within 5 min. I landed this brown trolling by the slides on the north side in 30 feet of water about 25 feet down. Let me tell you he was a fighter !! I took me a while to get him in the net by myself. Evertime he saw me he would dive again. This is why I fish this lake because there are big ones in here. Tight lines

Awesome fish BigBrown69! Was the fish a goner in the fact that it was bleeder? With so few browns in that lake C&R should be highly encouraged for the browns. Not preaching any C&R as people can do what they want! I love the fish and great job. If I ever am fortunate enough to catch one on my fly rod trolling leeches, I hope it can go free without it bleeding, which can be common since brown inhale lures and flies... Thanks for the report and nice pic. Later KTK

No I didn't relese him. His gills were coming out his mouth by the time I got him in. But, I would have kept him anyway. I release 99% of the fish I catch but I keep and eat the big ones. Had him for a memorial day bar-b-q. That reminds me there is still some leftovers and I'm hungry !!

DEE LEE CIOUS.

Nice fish! Did you measure him (how long was he)? I've caught a brown from Pine before, but did not measure him. Mine was somewhere between 17 and 20 inches (my best guess)--long snaky bodies.
