Went out after dinner, got in the water around 7 and left at 9:30pm. Hooked 2 10" or so planters, switched to a bigger bait to go after the browns but did not get any bites. Only about 4 boats on the water, half a dozen on the pier. Seems like the bite has died down, I only saw 2 leapers and no one I saw had caught anything. Spoke in passing with another boater who had hooked one. Wind was very calm and blowing towards the dock. I trolled a ford fender at 20 - 30 feet with my spinner, then switched to a swim bait to try for browns. 6lb test, 4 lb leader. On a sad note I broke the tip of my rod getting into my boat, not sure if I'll repair or replace.

That sucks about the tip rod. Gives you an excuse to buy a new one though, right. I'm kinda glad the bite has died down. Now we can focus on the big ones....lol
