Hit Fish on the way home from Sun Lakes. The weather was fantastic but the fishing was so-so (for fish lake). From a float tube I tried a lot of different lures and picked up a few bows but without any consistency. I had some trouble getting the fish dialed in but after a while I decided to try bobber/crawler and only had one hit. Then after talking to a guy working the outside of a weed bed for perch, I headed that way and boom, a bow takes the worm while I'm towing the bobber/crawler behind me. Was it a fluke? I tried it again and a minute later, boom, another fish! I caught several that way then decided to go for perch. The perch were thick just outside the weed-line and I caught more than I can remember one after another. Interesting surprise during all of this, I picked up a 2-3lb sucker. Never caught one before, now I can mark that species off my list. The guy perch fishing also caught one almost twice the size of mine. Great way to cap off a nice little vacation.
